Ms. Harvey received her A.A. in Dental Hygiene at the State University of New York, her B.S. in Allied Health and M.S. in Health Administration from the University of North Florida. She is a Licensed Health Care Risk Manager in the State of Florida.
Experienced in a wide variety of clinical areas, Ms. Harvey is responsible for implementing, managing, and coordinating daily activities for two federal multi-site research grants where she oversees grant protocols. She has designed and presented professional development seminars on such topics as OSHA compliance, infection control, quality assurance, and risk management.
Ms. Harvey published her first book in 2000, titled "Helping Hands for Dental Hygienists: 101 Timeless Treasures for a Successful Career." (quotes) This book is actually written by hygienists for hygienists. Linda credits the success of the book to the many hygienists that contributed their best practices and words of wisdom.
In addition to the home study risk management education courses, Ms. Harvey's articles have been published in a variety of journals, including RDH, AIMM, and Access. Her courses offer a simplified approach to risk management, a must read in this era of random litigation.
