Dr. Eugene Eisman, MD

Dr. Eugene H. Eisman After graduating from the University of Kentucky Medical School at Lexington in 1966, Dr. Eisman served his internship and residency at University Hospital in Lexington, KY. On active military service in Vietnam, Dr. Eisman obtained the rank of Major and Chief of Cardiology before returning to civilian life when the war ended. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, practices medicine in Miami, Florida, and is an adjunct professor at the University of Miami, School of Medicine and is on the UM Physician's Advisory Board, Dept. of Immunology. In addition to serving as the editor of our Endocarditis course, Dr. Eisman has been published in Biochemistry, the Journal of Organic Chemistry, and Miami Medicine. He has also written several books and pamphlets explaining various facets of medicine to the general public.
