Dr. Bistritz, received his D.D.S from the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery at the University of Maryland in 1983. He completed a residency in oral & maxillofacial surgery at the University of Rochester, Strong Memorial and Genesee Hospitals in Rochester, New York in 1987. He has extensive experience in a broad range of General, Plastic and ENT procedures, including conservative and surgical management of temporomandibular joint disease and osseointegrated implant technique.
Dr. Bistritz is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. In addition to his skill as a surgeon, Dr. Bistritz is a regular speaker on surgical techniques for dental professionals, has been published in numerous periodicals, including the American Association of Clinical Research and the Journal of Dental Research. He provides educational materials to various dental programs in schools around the country. His TMJ osteoradionecrosis courses provide practical advice for dealing with these unusual and difficult problems.
